This is the Technical Summary of Mira's theory on the origin of life from 'Sudden Onset'. While fictional, we wrote it as a thought experiment. Based on current evidence that microbes existed nearly 4 billion years ago (nearly as old as Earth itself), what would the first common ancestor for all life have looked like? What is the minimum machinery necessary for life to have the capability to survive and, more importantly, evolve? And what does this say about how life arose in the first place and the likelihood of it having happened elsewhere in the Universe...or happening again.
